Folk Harps - 36 String Birdseye Maple
This 36 string harp demonstrates the lamination technique I use to take advantage of really nice woods. In this case I had to work with a relatively small birdseye board with exceptional grain. 1/4" thick pieces were laminated onto a core of plain maple for the neck and pillor while the stave was created with a combination of plain and birdseye laminated elements to extend the small amount of the wood I had on hand. Ebony was used as accents throughout.
